TRON (TRX) (BTT) (USDD) (USDJ)

TRON's decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), fittingly named TRON DAO, is founded by Justin Sun, who also founded the TRON blockchain. He seems like it would be fitting to plaster his face and name wherever he can on the project and obnoxiously promote that he has dinners with other billionaires and which culminates in him looking like this prophet.

“Americans by contrast, they’re lazier, but they’re more creative,” a former senior employee recalled Sun explaining. “So he’d kind of give the grunt work to the Chinese team,” they said, “the engineers, the developers, no question, they’re working 9-9-6.” There was an irony in Beijing, though. While the engineers were indentured to the 9-9-6 credo, coding at all hours, everyone else at the Beijing office ignored it. So long as they maintained “the illusion.” Sun, after all, was in San Francisco.

What a wonderful way to justify enslaving your staff with a bout of racism.

After the disaster, a Tron employee ran into a top communication manager for Justin Sun’s hero, Jack Ma, at a function in the Bay Area. “As soon as I mentioned Tron and Justin Sun, she said, "Please tell him that we don’t want to have anything to do with him."

With all of Sun's egotism, this is perhaps the most humorous line.

[First name?] Juraszek sat listening to Sun yell at Li, struggling to focus on his work. “Your hands are shaking, you have cold sweats,” he said. “Then I heard spitting.” Li screamed. Juraszek stood and looked over the cubicle wall and saw Li recoiled, holding his hand on his arm. Sun had just pummeled him. Nearly every worker I spoke to recalled only hearing a fuzzy rumor about it. But it wasn’t some strange unreality. Li later confirmed to another employee, “Justin hit me.” The violence seemed to change Li and the office.

A depressing tale of Justin Sun's entrance to the United States realm being fueled by his own ego. Driving abuse towards employees that didn't meet him at his every wish and seeking to create a decentralized video streaming platform with absolutely zero moderation at any cost is what pins this man as one of the worst people.

Hype man of the century (Sep 29, 2020) (Wayback Machine link in case the first link doesn't work)

Justin Sun hired "David Labhart, a lawyer and eight-year veteran of the SEC’s compliance division" and unsurprisingly, he was quick to resign after Sun made absurd demands in order to walk around the law.

Sun took over a cryptocurrency exchange and reverted a lot of rules that invoked by Circle that made it actually pass regulations. And on top of that, he had his engineers concoct a plan to steal Bitcoin that didn't make it to each end of a trade as the archaic code of the exchange allowed for some Bitcoin to supposedly go missing. It was officially known as "Operation Couch Cushions." And this wouldn't go back to the company collectively and instead Sun's personal wallet.

And then it becomes a question of how people will be able to catch someone like Sun who continues to snap boards meant to balance across chasm of legal pitfalls. While everyone is busy trying to find out why that board was placed there to begin with and if a bridge should even be built, he is already pits ahead having broken even more. He has established citizenships in a tremendous amount of extra countries and built up an arsenal of bank accounts to move his money around. He is perhaps one of the most colorful and horrible people in the cryptocurrency scene.

BitTorrent Token (BTT)

https://www.bittorrent.com/token/btt/

Due to its comparably minuscule size to the others listed while it is hosted on the Tron blockchain, I do not believe it served a spot as on the hive table.

A commodification / a kind of monetization of an otherwise purely voluntary peer-to-peer file sharing system. I believe there was backlash of this at first, but my initial feelings lean towards it being relatively alright as serving as an incentive to keep certain files alive. Helps to give back to people who willingly share files on their own network. But, this has to be tested to see if it is actually true or not.

Its existence was brought about after an acquisition of the original BitTorrent company, the group that had created the protocol. So, its existence has no grounds of decentralization as it was spawned under the guise of a greedy uber-millionaire.
